HOME: A Parable of Jesus from Luke 15 is a journey into one of Jesus’ most powerful and misunderstood stories; a story that is not just about a runaway son, but about all of us. Beginning with the surprising setup of two groups, those far from God and those who think they are close, this series explores the younger son’s restless rebellion, the seductive lie of independence, and the painful clarity of rock bottom that awakens true repentance. But the story doesn’t end there. At its center is a Father who runs with scandalous grace, restores identity, and throws a celebration of joy. Yet Jesus also turns the spotlight on the older brother, exposing a different kind of lostness marked by entitlement and resentment. Through it all, we will discover that this parable is not just meant to be understood, but entered…inviting each of us to come home, receive grace, and ultimately become people who reflect the Father’s heart by welcoming others into His love.
